Mu-Mesons

Photobucket

"The Mu-Mesons is a community of musicians who express the whole range of what it means to be an outsider both socially and in the practice of music.

They create a music which contains humour, but it can also be deeply disturbing and often profound; a music of aberrant psychosis created under some of the most difficult economic and social conditions that a post industrial western world can serve up.

Leonarder rejects any criticism that the Mu-Mesons somehow exploits sick and suffering people for his own ends. He points out that clearly the Mu-Mesons are at the bottom of any commercial ladder and have remained there for 20 years, so there's no money to be made....also everyone in the band wants to perform music...as in...you can't stop them performing music...as in...if they know a gig is coming up, they start non-stop phoning in excitement.

For nearly 20 years, The Mu Mesons have existed without the slightest recognition from anyone. With only 1 release to their name (the B-side of Phlegm 7") and not even a fleeting mention of their role in Thug’s demise in Clinton Walker’s book on Australian underground music, the MM’s stand by the fact that their live performances are the only way for them to be seen and heard.
